An all-black dining room that needs a table to match
Black kitchens and dark dining rooms are increasingly popular, but most dining tables still add a contrasting gold or steel base that breaks the mood.
Lucerne is black from its top to the floor, with white veining in the stone as its only contrast, so it belongs completely to a dark room.
Four decisions
160 × 90 cm
Six seats in a size that suits a dining room with dark walls and dramatic lighting.
Black crossed loops
Two black loops cross beneath the top in an X, the same base as the St. Moritz table in a darker key.
A black plate
The loops stand on a black plate, so the whole table reads as one dark, continuous form.
White veining
White veins keep the black top lively and make it read as stone rather than as a black panel.
Materials, named
Black sintered stone with white veining, labelled black by the supplier, on loops and a plate of black powder-coated steel.
The making
The loops are bent on a former and welded at their crossing, then powder-coated black along with the plate before the top is fitted.
The finished piece
Pair it with black or charcoal chairs and a low brass pendant in a dark, moody dining room.
Each Lucerne is factory-made in Hyderabad and installed by our own team, whether the home is a penthouse in Kokapet or a villa off the Gandipet road.
